Plain-English summary: We collect the minimum we need to run Tolljar — your email if you join the waitlist, and basic usage data. We don't sell your data. Public "unclaimed dashboards" show only estimates from public signals — never your private analytics, and never your content.

Who we are

Tolljar ("we", "us") operates tolljar.com, a service that helps creators charge AI systems and human readers for access to their content.

What we collect

Waitlist & account: your email address, and information you provide when you sign up.
Usage: standard technical data (pages viewed, approximate region, device type) to operate and improve the service.
Toll & ledger data: when you install Tolljar, records of requests to your content (including which AI crawler visited and what was paid or logged).

Public dashboards for unclaimed sites

We publish estimated "AI toll" dashboards for public websites using publicly available signals (site popularity, robots.txt, publishing frequency). These pages contain estimates only, are clearly labeled as such, and never reproduce your content. If a page concerns a site you own or control, you can claim it (to replace estimates with real metering) or remove it — see our opt-out page.

How we use it

To operate, secure, and improve Tolljar.
To process payouts and provide reporting to creators.
To send you service and product updates (you can unsubscribe anytime).

Sharing

We use trusted infrastructure providers (e.g., Cloudflare for hosting, and regulated payment partners for money movement) who process data on our behalf. We do not sell personal data.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data by emailing [email protected]. Depending on your location (e.g., California/CCPA, EU/UK GDPR), you may have additional rights.
